Murals

Building on a background in architecture and scenic painting, I began painting murals in the interiors of homes, businesses, and museums in 1999. Here are a few examples of that work. While no longer the mainstay of my work, I do still take on the occasional commissioned project.

Individual works:

Hudson River School Landscapes

A series of seven small landscape paintings, inspired by the Hudson River School painters, adapted to the color-palette of the room, above the doorways of this Melrose dining room. Acrylic on plaster, sizes vary.

Chinese Landscape

Landscape inspired by early Chinese landscapes, in a South End courtyard kitchen. Acrylic on plaster wall, approx. 5′h x 8′w.

Trompe l’Oeil Window

Faux window and trim painted viewing what “would be” seen through on a party-wall of a Marblehead Condo.

Dining Room Forest Park

Four walls and ceiling painted as a spring forest-park: acrylic on plaster. Detail:

Tropical Playland

A fanciful, playful room for a child: acrylic on plaster-board.
